And to whet your appetite even more, we will let you know one of the most traditional cod recipes of our gastronomic culture: Bacalhau à Lagareiro (Grilled cod fish with baked potatoes).
To do this recipe need the following ingredients (4 people):
– 4 slices of cod
– 4 cloves of garlic
– 1 sprout sauce
– 1 kg of potatoes
– Olive oil (as needed)
– Salt (as needed)
– Pepper (as needed)
– 1 bunch parsley
Cook the sprouts in water with a little salt, draining them at the end of the cooking and sauté them with a bit of olive oil, chopped garlic and a hint of pepper. Wash the potatoes, place them in a tray speckled with coarse salt and place in the oven on 180°C for approximately 35 minutes. Remove from the oven and punch each one of them so they can open. Pass the cod through a bit of olive oil and grill on both sides. Cut the remaining garlic in fine strips and sauté with 4 tablespoons of olive oil along with the chopped parsley. Finally, place the cod in a platter, arrange the potatoes and sprouts around and sprinkle the cod with olive oil prepared earlier and serve.
